The needles used in acupuncture are extremely thin. First-time patients often describe an unfamiliar tingling sensation, but are pleasantly surprised at how relaxing the overall experience is.

Are there any side effects?

In rare cases, small bruises may appear at the point of needle insertion, but these usually disappear in a few days.

Are acupuncture needles safe?

The U.S. government requires all acupuncturists to follow strict sterilization requirements. Natural Balance only uses disposable needles, which are sterilized by the manufacturer and discarded after one use.
